Tosteds
Roasted Soybeans with Half the Fat;
Twice the Fiber and 80% More Protein than Roasted Peanuts
Tosteds
are made with Laura® Beans. A satisfying snack that provides all
the health benefits of soy, Tosteds are a great school lunch box treat
instead of chips, cakes or other highly refined sugar snacks. These
tasty soynuts are produced without oil, flavoring, coloring, preservatives
or other additives, and are available in lightly salted and unsalted
styles. Naturally great tasting, Tosteds are produced and packaged at
the Chambers Family Farm to assure "direct from the farm quality"
Tosteds
can also add a delicious crunch, to salads, cereal , ice cream, and
trail mix; adding protein, calcium, iron and valuable phytochemicals
. For a delightful crunch to quick breads, cookies, and cakes, try adding
Tosteds to all of your baked goods.
Chocolate
Covered Tosteds 'n Fruit (35 candies)

- 2 cups
Tosteds
- 1 1/2
cups mixed dried fruit (* blueberries, strawberries, & cherries
are
nice)
- 1/3
cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons
arrowroot
- 3/4
cup hot liquid Fruitsource
- 1 1/2
tablespoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/4
teaspoon almond extract
Spray a cookie sheet with olive
oil.
Combine Tosteds and fruit in a large bowl, and set aside. Place the
cocoa in a small bowl and set aside. Place the Fruitsource in a glass
liquid measuring cup and microwave for 25 seconds, or heat in a small
saucepan over low heat a minute. Using a wire whisk, blend the cocoa
powder with the hot Fruitsource and mix until a chocolate syrup is formed.
Add vanilla and almond extracts and pour over fruit and Tosteds. Combine
thoroughly with a rubber spatula. Place rounded tablespoonfuls of Tosteds
mixture on prepared cookie sheet and place in the freezer for 10 to
15 minutes. Serve immediately. Replace unused portion in freezer as
these candies will become soft when left at room temperature for too
long.

- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped dried pineapple
- 1/3 cup chopped dried apricots
- 1/2 cup dairy free chocolate
chips
- 1/2 cup whole wheat chex cereal
In a large bowl,
combine Tosteds with raisins, pineapple, apricots,
chocolate chips, and chex cereal. Mix thoroughly and store in a covered
container or ziplock bag.

whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/4
cup Laura soy flour
- 1 teaspoon
baking powder
- 1 teaspoon
baking soda
- 1 teaspoon
ground cinnamon
- 1/8
teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4
teaspoon sea salt
- 1/3
cup prune puree
- 3/4
cup evaporated cane sugar
- 1 cup
mashed ripe bananas
- 1 tablespoons
EnerG Egg Replacer powder
- 1/4
cup water
- 3/4
cup enriched vanilla soymilk
- 1 teaspoon
pure vanilla extract
- 1/2
cup Tostedsl
Preheat oven to
350° spray 9² by 5 loaf pan with olive oil
In a medium bowl, combine whole wheat flour with soy flour, baking powder,
baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside In a large bowl,
blend
Prune puree with sugar. Add mashed bananas and blend. In a small bowl,
whisk egg replacer powder with water, until foamy.Add to banana mixture
with
vanilla, and soymilk, and mix thoroughly. Fold the dry ingredients into
the liquid , mixing just until blended. Pour batter into prepared pan
and
top with Tosteds soynuts. Bake for 50 minutes, or until toothpick inserted
comes out clean.
