Founder of Green People, BioDemocracy, and the Organic Consumer's Organization, Steve is perhaps best known for creating the largest vegetarian dating service on the Internet. VeggieDate.org is a networking resource for vegetarians and vegans. Online since 1999,www.veggieDate.org has over 16,000 members and thousands of unique visitors every day.

Steve is also founder of GreenPeople.org is an eco-friendly Internet directory offering an incredible array of resources and contacts for people who want to network and coordinate all sorts of environmental missions. Steve also co-founded the Campaign for Food Safety, which is now known as the Organic Consumers Association.

Steve Urow gained his formidable knowledge of Internet programming working in the telecom industry for Nortel as a software engineer in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina and Norcross, Georgia. Steve graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Computer Science and received his MBA from Boston University.

Currently a full-time entrepreneurial activist, Steve continues to find creative ways to use the Internet to promote ecology.
